Details
For most of my time at Cazoo I was deeply involved in the development of middle-km distribution platform, used to move cars through the Cazoo network. The standard Cazoo stack consisted with TypeScript AWS Lambdas + Dynamo for persistence, and React for the frontend. We managed to transition our middle-km operations to the new digital platform that reduced the manual workload. This was pretty cool. Then there was a swirl of reorgs and I was moving teams often. I had a brief stunt in Asset Management, where I worked on the finance inventory side. After that, came another reorg which put me in the Retail team. The retail team worked on the customer facing software as well as the management of orders. Due to the rapid pace of team changes the workload in the last two teams involved discovering the codebases we were acquiring as the team merit grew larger.
